Borough Market

Borough Market is one of the oldest wholesale and retail food markets in London. The market offers a variety of specialty items, including cured meats, fresh seafood, sandwiches, pastries, mulled wines, and warm entrees. Borough Market has a rich history that dates back to 1014 (a thousand years) when the trading of goods first started.

A walk through Borough Market was a nice alternative to the tourist-driven activities we had been engaged in all week. The market had a hustling environment full of delicious smells and enthusiastic conversations. Although our time spent in Borough Market was minimal, I did get a taste of its history and the surrounding streets and pubs of Southwark, England.
